Normally with running the lineal and end grain on the same parts, it is easy to see the inconsistencies with the standard machining process. This is due to the different thickness of parts or the machining process itself. With this Arminius sanding system you are able to run the lineal and end grain without errors on the corner matches, without any processing marks, it eliminates the transition lines between the radiiand it will compensate for the variations with the thickness of parts.

Shaping and sanding of radii with 2-dimensional tracing.

The Double sanding application (1 wheel above, 1 wheel below) is done with the same degree of accuracy within a very small area for a through feed application , i.e. a machine with just as little space requirement as the double radius cutting unit.

The Arminius double sanding unit not only sands the radii but also the straight edges at the same time. Because during the edge sanding process no mechanical tracing is possible for compensation of side tolerances, the Arminius double sanding unit works with an automatic self tracing feature.

By precisely coordinating the cutting and sanding tools, it is possible to achieve a service life of several thousand meters for rotating abrasive. There is no need for precision adjustments when setting to the workpiece thickness, as the upper units in each case are automatically linked to adjustment for the pressure beam in the throughfeed machine application.
