The new HD system product series

With the HD system it is even economical to use this system in special applications where the profile is only used one time or by a special request by a customer.

The affordably priced HD clamping disc can be fitted with a variety of profiles with a profile depth of 20 mm. The abrasive carrier comprises of a plastic strip with 8 to 18 individually profiled abrasive fields. The strip is placed like a belt around the cylindrical disc core and clamped into place.

Due to the “shear style” and optional screw-shaped geometry of the segments the fields in the HD system permit a slicing action to improve the surface quality. The design of the fields will depend on the specific requirements of the profile and the application.

For the HDC style base disc, the segment strips are clamped in a conical shape for greater profile depths of up to 50 mm. This option allows any profile, regardless of depths, to be sanded. This feature is popular when the working spindle is not able to tilt, for example on table-top sanding machines, CNC routers, CNC tenoners with automatic tool changers, shape and sands that have a fixed spindle.

Arminius has seen the need and has designed the HD system to target yet another level of profile sanding. Arminius has a tool for all levels, all profile shapes and complexity and for all types of applications. For the applications that may create a high level of stress on the sanding abrasive due to the amount of removal, there is the Arminius Basic that has the flank protection optional to address these applications and protect each sanding field.
